Benghazi, not even smoke much less fire

This should put an end to the manufactured hysteria, but it probably won’t. Too many are too proud to admit they had been lied to.

The report adds that while State Department security at the compound was ‘woefully inadequate,’ Clinton herself ‘never personally denied any requests for additional security in Benghazi.’ Clinton was also ‘active and engaged’ on the night of the attacks and in subsequent days, saying she was in touch with the president, the CIA director, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and others in the hours following the attacks.

Look at it any way you want, there is no there there.

Yet nine different bodies have investigated Benghazi: the State Department’s Accountability Review Board and eight separate congressional committees or staff reports. Each report has identified problems with the way the incident was handled by US government agencies — which are serious and worth raising — but none has uncovered real evidence of an administration cover-up or failure to properly respond to the attacks.
