Why not Ike?
Donald reached way back in history to find a strong President who would have kept the Union together. Why Jackson? Why not Ike?
Eisenhower sent the 101st Airborne into Little Rock to enforce federal Civil Rights law. He proposed and passed the Interstate Highway System with bipartisan support. Ike supported Social Security and a Minimum Wage. When he left the Presidency, he warned of a growing and wasteful military industrial complex. I don’t know of many moderates who would criticize Ike.
Can you see any differences between Jackson and Ike?
